Maxitours at Wonderful Worsley - June 2017

On Thursday 8th June 2017  Worsley Golf Club hosted our annual Maxitour Event.  The report begins with some very positive feed-back as regards the condition of the course and the service provided all the staff. The full report and results can be seen on  https://maxitoursgolf.com/.  

"A lovely soft summers day greeted the one hundred Maxitours golfers who played at lovely Worsley today.

The hosepipe ban is certainly over after recent heavy rainfall but high cloud, sunshine and only a very occasional refreshing shower thrown in were the reward for our travelling players.

The greens were fast and very receptive, even Dave Howson who enjoys playing with plenty of mud in his grooves claimed he got some backspin after hitting one of his better approach shots.

Many thanks to Head Green keeper Nigel who presented the course to an incredibly high standard despite the heavy overnight rain. One of my Maxitours players informed me a couple of weeks ago that the golf course was in great condition and all our players concurred with this after their round today.

Welcome Golf Golf Society - Aug 2015

Following our golf day yesterday l have been requested by our WGS members whom do also play at many top courses over the year across Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire, to express the total congratulations and compliments to the excellent condition of the course and superb  conditions of the greens.  All agreed that Worsley being the best.

Please pass on to the greens staff WGS sincere compliments well deserved.
In addition also the excellent food and service of the catering staff who looked after our party yesterday.
Without doubt believe this venue will be ongoing each year from now.

The course is lovely and in great condition, none of our members had played here before.
The food and service in the club house was excellent and everyone was very helpful.
