The weather forecast was a bit "iffy" but fortunately the sun shone for most of the day. The first of the good scores - 42pts - came in from the Rossendale pair Stephen Andrews and R Wilkinson who had tee'd off at 10.30 am. They were closely followed by Malcolm King and Simon Parker, also of Rossendale, who tee'd off at 11.50 am and had to concede to their club mates on a CPO - again on 42 pts.
As is often the case, the winning score did not come back into the clubhouse until 6.00 pm, when a 44 pts score was posted by Anthony Williams from Hart Common GC and Allan Schofield from Bolton Old Links.
